I rise
Rise above
Rise to the top
Rise to the occasion
Rise to the challenge
Rise and shine
Surprise
A sunrise
A pay rise
A rise in the landscape
A star on the rise
I rise
“What is my word for this year?”
I asked, kneeling before the Divine.
“Rise.”

Great word! It should lead you through a very exciting year ahead!
beautiful. I especially love, "I asked, kneeling before the Divine. 'Rise.'" May you rise to great heights in the wonderful new year.

I love the different ways you use rise in your poem. You are so inspiring!!! Thank you for sharing:)
Beautiful! In 2012 you will indeed Rise, my friend!
i love the poetry and how you can make rise into so many other words – particularly sunrise, which always makes me smile (just seeing the word makes me grin) I know you'll do well with Rise guiding your year =)
Beautiful Ellie! I can already see you rising in so many fantatsic ways! May you keep rising!
To rise is to be true to your nature ~ may the blessings of Spirit continue to find you ~*
That gave me goosebumps! So simple and so powerful. I’m so looking forward to watching you soar =D
oh this is so cute and awesome! I'm going to make a poem out of my words too…at least give it a go anyway :).
Wishing you many RISES!
…..reminds me of Maya Angelou…..how awesome is she!!
Yes ma'am!
And so you will!
Oh, I have chills and happy shivers!
Oh, that's lovely Elli! You surely have risen to the occasion :)
Love the last line, Ellie – and the artwork is wonderfully eye-catching too :-)
Nice. My word is light — in ALL of its meanings, including being lighter on myself!
I just luuuuv your word!
My word for 2012 is UNFOLD – because that's what I need to be doing on so many levels.

Great word! I have found mine yet. Hope it will reveal itself soon!
My word for 2012 is RESCUE.
I am SO going to have back everything I lost in 2011, a *better* everything, though.
Ohmigosh, you guys, THANK YOU SO MUCH for all the love and support! I'd reply individually, but it might get kind of boring to read the same gushing over and over.
This word came as a surprise to me, and I didn't want to believe it at first, but it was as clear as a bell when I asked about it in meditation. Definitely got the quirked eyebrow and "seriously?" response from me. I can only hope that I keep it in mind as the year goes on.
Thank you all so much for your support and cheerleading. May each of you have as amazing a year as you've wished for me. <3
Ooooooo, rise up! Love it.
As you know mine is receive :)
